Now the question is, can PS3 keep it up and be above Wii next week? |
It won't look at software, even on its best week it can't beat a mediocre week of Wii software sales
I mean people talk about Wii falling off, but man its still moving a ton of software every week, even if you took out Wii Sports and Wii play Wii still outsold the PS3 in software, this shows that there is nothing really driving PS3 sales expcept the initial price drop and new Sku excitement, and those never last
|
Wii has sold twice as much as the PS3.
You really expect PS3 to sell as much SW as the Wii?
Get a grip.

look at my above post, now what do you have to say?
|
Does that change the fact that it was still the market leader?
Or even more so... does that change the fact that Mario Kart Wii released that week?
|
Kinda proves my point that software is the big reason for console success, Wii has the software, even now, and its yearly drop is because its software sin;t as strong as last year, also if PS3 can't outsell the Wii's software, it'll never be the market leader, even if it has a price drop, and its sales spike will fall off, since there is nothing beyond the price cut to sustain it, also look at other weeks, Wii still outsold the PS3 with less consoles and without Mario kart Wii

No Mario Kart, no Brawl and less than 21 million consoles and it still sells far more than PS3
Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
