So, the Nigerian government has no right to defend themselves against what they feel is a slanderous statement because the internet forums say so? I agree that PC is getting out of hand, and often negatively affects race relations, you have to understand that you (Meaning any non-Nigerian website poster) don't know what it's like to live there. Maybe they are trying really hard to squash that kind of thinking, to bring in companies to HQ there and increase the living conditions of their people. Maybe they see this kind of off-handed refernce to a stereotype counterproductive to their efforts. I feel in a case such as that, they have an imperative to do something about it. Just because it's a commonly used stereotype that YOU feel is unoffensive doesn't mean someone else doesn't have the right to be offended.

I'm guessing from reading thru this that Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson is using this forum to spread his anti-anything agenda and is currently residing in Nigeria. OMG what a bunch of PC bickering. That original post that set off a fire was pretty funny to begin with. And I find anything funny. South Park RULES.
As far as Nigeria and Nigerians, if we poll the population that we have most contact with then I say all of them are con artists. I've had contact with atleast a hundred over my time on internet with all the contacting they do with my inbox to vote; and they all want money to help them get their money, so 100 out of 100 gives me the percentage of 100% are thiefs. As soon as I hear from a Nigerian that doesn't ask me for money then I'll update the poll and it's results.
Until then, I'll be checking in here once in a while to see how much funnier this thread gets. I like the old days when ever people said what ever and you chose to listen or not to listen.
