@WEWdeadeye

i second your crazy

I think I discovered the meaning of a Freudian slip yesterday.....
I was having dinner with my girlfriend and I wanted to say,
"Could you please pass the butter?"
But instead I said, "You bitch, you managed to ruin my life."

I don't care what the story is good and doesn't drag on like FOREVER at the beginning of the game. And it must be harder than Twilight Princess. IT HAS TO BE HARDER THAN OCARINA!

The Flintstones meets the Jetsons...... therefore......Ratchet and Clank meets Zelda....hmmmmm

yeah, not to sure about the whole sci-fi thing.... but to your credit, that idea is still better than the idea of having Zelda warped into "today's" time. I get the mental image of a GTA game type of game with Link hijacking cars with a uzi....

the idea alone scares the HELL outta me

 yeah that wouldn't be cool, but I don't know we just need something that feels and plays the same, but at the same time something fresh...

Difficulty is the one thing I doubt they will be increasing.

Have any of you guys played Phantom Hourglass yet?

I'm only a few hours into it but I can already see a huge change in the puzzle structure. The stylus for control has definately made a huge difference in the gameplay so has the DS' built in microphone and the touch screen. You write notes on your map, draw the safe path through, and use the sea chart as intended by drawing your route that you want the boat to follow on the map so you can shoot things with your cannon.

As far as difficulty goes I'm perfectly happy with the game as is. I don't personally like playing 40 to 50 hour games on an insane difficulty it just ends up making the game tedious and repetative. The game is already long enough why make it longer because you can't beat a certain part of the game until after you've tried it ten times. Besides, I read some reviews on Phantom and the area where they did up the difficulty considerably (Namely the phantom hourglass dungeon and yes it is very hard) was the only place where the game had a flaw and the reviewer even said "it just seemed pointlessly hard at times."

I think Phantom Hourglass is a solid step for the series and definately adds new ideas that seem incredibly different from previous installments. If you're bitching about Zelda being stale, you HAVE TO PLAY PH before you can talk anymore shit. End of story.
