Forums - Nintendo - Are Wii owners spoiled?

Look at all the great exclusives that Nintendo are getting from 3rd party publishers. Muramasa: The Demon Blade is getting great reviews and then there is Dead Space Extraction which looks great too, I can only afford to get one but I'll wait to see reviews for Dead Space Extraction. Capcom is bringing it with Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and Monster Hunter Tri. Ubisoft has Red Steel 2 and my most wanted game No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. I wasn't into Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories at first but now they look very interesting after seeing videos. Then, there is High Voltage Software that is bringing Gladiator A.D. and The Grinder to the Wii. Last but not least, Nintendo is coming out Metroid Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2, a new Zelda, and Sin & Punishment 2 in 2010.

So what do you guys think?

Not a chance.

They are starved.

Well 3rd party titles definitely picked up in quality on the Wii. I would say that every console owner can look forward to a great line-up for 2009 and 2010.

There is easily enough for me.... it was quiet in late 2008 and early 2009, but I still hadn't (and still haven't) caught up on some 2007/2008 games I want anyway.

Only the ones that look at that lineup but demand that it's not enough.

This. There are more than enough games for one person to play.

The Crystal Bearers and Red Steel 2 should satisfy me, not to mention NSMB, I need another great local multiplayer game that almost anyone will play.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Personally I'm set with the upcoming lineup, if anything I have to trim a few games off my list. But I'd also agree with Rol in that the Wii is the leading console so it deserves more than we are currently getting.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

This.

But the nice thing is I'm able to get a lot of games I've had on my to-get list for $10-$20 now which is pretty sweet.  Considering the back-log I have now (and growing every time I see another game for $10 lol) most of those games, except NSMBW and maybe Silent Hill will be picked up next year some time for cheap too.

nintendo should drop the price or give out a monster hunter tri bundle so i can play these games

The Wii has you covered if you like Platformers,Rail Shooters and Family Games but otherwise you will be most likely starved for games since you don't have alot of choice compared to other consoles for every genre.
