yes but the xbox 360 sales before it's price drop was not low has the ps3 before the slim 

many was waiting the slim model 

ex: last year in america ps3 was selling about 50k+weekly 

this year for the past 20 week it was sellling about 37k

50k-37k=13k*20k= 260k    so about 260k in america was waiting the slim it's really not surprising that it get a great boost 

so low sale number and people who were waiting create those 1000%,900% boost

As for the price cut. The $599 -$499 was the 2nd price cut. The first one they dropped the price of the 60GB PS3 to $499 and then introduced the 120GB PS3 for $599. The 2nd price cut actually dropped the price from $599 - $499. Sales increased, but no where like the PS3 Slim.
