Wow this trailer is far more effective than everything I've seen thus far. I am actually interested in both these games now. I like the people in Heavy Rain but Alan Wake's environments and gameplay sold me on it.
Looks like more money will have to be spent in 2010 than I anticipated. I just can't resist a good story driven game.

@ Selnor: You are now one of the lucky ones who will get to enjoy both. Doesn't that make you feel extra special. I think along with Mass Effect, Alan Wake makes me a bit bummed that I don't have / won't be getting a 360, or a gaming rigged PC.
