Forums - Nintendo - What "hardcore" Wii game is coming that has no reason to flop?

Truegame then.
Game for truegamers.

I'm really beginning to hating the term 'Hardcore'. It has lost any meaning, if it even had any meaning to begin with.

In music, it's a form of techno, or some other sub genres. There are not hardcore games.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

As I've stated elsewhere, there are pick-up-and-play games (which I'll calle "pickup" for brevity), and time intensive games. It's just the former can be played hardcore. Tetris is pick up and play. You can go for hours if you like. The GTA games on the PS2 were largely this (don't have GTA IV to know if it is). Gears is a pickup game, save for some of the more intense single player areas.

Arcade shooters would all be pick-up-and-play under this definition, including... what are they called? Curtain shooters?

ANY arcade game would be.
