"The coolest feature with Sonic & Knuckles was what SEGA called “lock-on technology.” The fancy marketing term was the title for being able to connect another Genesis cartridge to the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge, and have the data from both accessible to the console. If you connected games together, you got some special results. For instance, if you hooked Sonic & Knuckles together with Sonic the Hedgehog 3, you could play Sonic 3 as Knuckles, and if you finished Sonic 3, you could go directly to Sonic & Knuckles gameplay as if it was one contiguous game (with some differences to the Sonic 3 ending to enable that to happen).
Surely that can’t be done with XBLA, because there are no cartridges to hook together. That’s true, but SEGA and developer Backbone Entertainment did engineer the technology to work with the XBLA titles. If you go into the “Bonus Content” menu in Sonic & Knuckles, you’ll see indications for the first three Sonic games, which can be launched directly from there as if the two cartridges were “locked on.” It’s a cool added bonus, and also a demonstration of video-game history that SEGA made in taking these unique steps to give gamers something extra and special"
This is excellent news. Not even the Sonics genesis collection had lock on tech... Supposed release date was Aug 2009 but it got pushed back. Should come out any day now.
There is no reason why anyone with xbox live wouldnt buy this, or other sonic games available.

3. its some of the most fun platforming ever made
4. music in sonic games is alone worth 400 pts
5. these games wash the sour taste in your mouth left by Werehog
