PS3 will outsell the Wii 100% guaranteed next Week, there is nothing even to argue about it, the only question is by how much?

Sony would have to leave the console business if they couldn't outsell Wii next week.

Yeh if the PS3 didn't outsell both I'd be shock, hell it should outsell both X360 and Wiis combined sales

I admit that I believe it will, but if it doesn't, I believe making a thread for the serving of crow would be absolutely justified.

If it doesn't the slim would be one of the biggest bombs ever, but that wont happen.

I wouldn't call it the most popular console ever, in fact, I'd put the NES and PS2 up there. However, I agree with the notion of the Wii being untouchable.


The Wii will outsell the NES. Do you think it won't outsell the PS2, and addtionally do you define popularity by something other than the amount of people who buy the console?

In this case, we can probably say its popularity can be defined by the amount of people who play the console (buy?), relative to the population. In the case of the NES, I believe it had record highs in household penetration for the U.S. and Japan (likely beat by DS). Of course, outside of these 2 countries is a different story.

Two weeks more than likely, the last time PS3 spiked up about 135% but lost about 56% of its sales the week after, so the likihood of it staying above Wii for more than 2 weeks is small


And this time it's PS3 slim, u can't be expecting the same trend.


Ok then, the PS2 a far more popular machine than the PS3, when it price cut down to $199 back in may 2002, down from $299, sales rose from 178K to 309K, so even if we assume that PS3 slim experiences an even larger boost than the PS2 did (unlikely, but lets just say for the sake of argument), it'll probably top out somewhere around 200-250K more than likely
