from my understanding, and i have not been keeping up on the news lately, only North America was allowed to break street date for selling the slims. and from the numbers outsold all the home consoles. As for Japan and Eu well looks like supply was low or they are waiting till all the phats are gone. /shrug

And this thread is a complete joke, if you weren't a MS fanboy like you claim, you would know the PS3 slim didn't officially launch until September 1st, and these numbers are from the 29th. If you weren't a MS fanboy you would know that the Others/Japan stock was DRY before the slim launched, therefore you get low numbers. And for the Slim release in Japan? It's said it hit over 100k.

1. You completely failed in your assumption due to the fact that you're taking a single region of sales and calling it's worldwide sales a flop. It doesn't compute.

That is just an excuse the Sony fanboys are using to try to make the sales seem less disappointing. The fact remains that virtually every store in the U.S. was selling the Slims and they definitely were selling the old models at the reduced prices...

Will he still be around and show his face next thursday when VGChartz reports that PS3 sold 250K+ ? That is, if he's not banned before.

Um... so ioi says we should expect over 100k next week in America when the Slim is fully stocked, and Europe and Japan were having stock and waiting for slim issues and the console is dead.. oh and suddenly we are back in 2006 and the console has no games to play

madkiller, you need REAL sales numbers (not posted yet) before you can comment on how the PS3 is doing.  You posted your opinion 2 weeks to 3 months too soon.

@madkiller: whats your explaination on other areas except the us then coz they certainly didnt have the slim?
