So basically you think PS3 will start outselling 360 by over 70,000 per week worldwide on average within that time.

 

I was surprised that you accurately predicted the collapse of the Wii in Japan over the early part of this year. However today I noticed your post where you made that prediction among a good number of other predictions, most of which have not been so successful (yet).

yet is the key word i dont make my predictions with math and graphs

the gap should be some where in the 6.5mill range b4 the years up thats assuming theres no gt5 release and ff13

the ps3 will continue its momentum through out all of 3/4 of 2010 with big guns like gt5 and ff13 and gow3 releasing then i think the gap by 8/2010 should be around 3mill

if sony can win he price drop war like it did this year in 2010 then it will earase that 3mill gap by4 2011 starts so i left some room and said march 2011 i dont see the 360 being ahead b4 2012 starts

u guys are underestimating wat gt5, ff13, gow3 can do to HW especially in EU and JP regions where 360 is not popular those regions is where the ps3 will make up the most ground especially in japan wait for 9/5/09 japan ps3 numbers ull see wat im talking about

Sony fans just need to accept their losses, and stop making crazy predictions to keep their morale up, it's only going to hurt them more.

 

Good luck with that... have you read the sony forum? morale-pumping threads are a common occurrence.

im not sure if the ps3 will ever catch up to the 360, personally id be ok if it never does. i know at the end of the day what system is better and if others feel a different way thats fine by me. however i really feel if the ps3 even gets withing 3 million its pretty much a win for sony. they started late and basicly have been playing catch up ever since. not only that but this generation they learned what microsoft learned last generation, that online is the future of gaming. only makes me look forward to what the big 3 ( actually the big 2 really) have instore for us in the next 5 years.

Nice thread.
We just can't predict at all the future sales trend - if x360 begins to decline, ps3 begins to raise, wii remains flat, or rise with price drop or decline due to something.

apart of that, I'll give you 5 stars. Susymar seal of quality :P

nice thread, i think also some ppl forget that the 360 has a very good lineup for 2010 and with natal, if thats a success. then the lead could increase over the ps3. either way the ps3 will sell alot better than it has for most of 2009 and through 2010 as well, but so will the 360 and the wii too.

you cant just expect every week to be average. You have to take into first week sales of ps3 slim, which might be in the next weekly sales (might) also the holidays, game releases, motion controller, bundling etc etc.

^^also 360 sales might start to decline b/c they see that the ps3 is now $299. I expect 360 to be finished in japan, and also ps3 will overtake 360 in europe and PAL without a doubt.
