Is that so? I've tried over 20 different MMOs. I know perfectly what I'm saying. Even WoW is a grindfest, but what's great about WoW is the amount of content you get to use right from the beginning. Multiple starting zones, battleground pvp (which is probably the most fun thing I've seen in any mmo), huge open world to explore, crafting and a few instances. Aion is a completely linear game until max level. I played Aion until lv40. All you can do on this linear path is grind on mobs through extremely boring quests, and you also get some crafting.

You obviously haven't played 20 different MMOs or else you'd know that a lot of them have offered what WoW has way before it came out. Ragnarok Online, Anarchy Online, Everquest, and Asheron's Call. WoW got huge for 1 main reason IMO, IT IS A BLIZZARD GAME. WoW's depth with even the things you listed is very limited. The Battlegrounds don't hold a candle to most MMO PVP setups. All MMOs for most part have HUGE open worlds. Crafting is MUCH better in a lot of other games. Graphics in WoW are just god awful. 

 

Basically what I'm saying is WoW was great when I was a kid, but now I want something fun. 

I already knew everything you mentioned in the first part. After all you're just person #100,000 who already said that exact same thing. I understand WoW hating stereotype is quite popular these days. WoW maybe didn't invent anything new, but it sure packs a lot of great content at once even though that content is from the older games. And it does it even better than those games. The rest is just your opinion on which I don't agree with you.

Typical WoW fanboy. You can bash EVERYTHING else, but can't come up with constructive criticism. I'm pretty sure we can ALL say we've put our time in with WoW at one point or another, there is no denying that. Quit being arrogant about WoW, it doesn't get you anywhere. 

 

As for Aion, I personally loved Lineage 2, it has THE BEST PVP setup out there if you take the time to get to end game. I'm expecting the same with Aion. 



The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.

I probably have more ps3 games than you :/

Sorta off-topic, but how do you guys justify shelling out a monthly fee? They can't possibly be good enough to be worth the entry fee + $15 a month, can they?

Continuous support with content that takes you longer than most games you buy from a store to clear.

Last interesting MMO i played was FFXI (cause its Final Fantasy ) and before that it was EverQuest. (cause MMOs were pretty new back then)
