I feel dirty just looking at that list. All those poor developers taking a bath like that. Those numbers are really bad. Sure you can equivocate about the smaller player base, but that is little comfort to a developer that needed to sell half a million games to break even.

Thankfully for Sony their strongest market is not Japan. However unfortunately for them they are a distant third in that market a little region we call North America. I think to much emphasis is placed on Japan where Sony PS3 sales are concerned. That just gets more attention, because it is a vain hope. That better performance in Japan will secure some amount of must have exclusive titles for the PS3. Which might translate into long term success.

However this list indicates thats a fools hope. Developers need to see better if they are going to give Sony exclusive access to pearls. Let them keep the ones they got, or even consider porting to the console. This is not about brand loyalty, and I know some will get outraged by what I am saying. However it has to be said if Sony cannot sell a developers game, and even give them a chance at some profit. This console has very little hope of lasting in that market given it is doing so poorly on the world stage. Can the developers even count on exporting their games and having a return on investment.

Percentages are misleading.

Always put the hard numbers with the percentages to get an accurate picture.

All this shows is of the userbase such and such many people bought a certain game. It only tells saturation of userbase but not actual volume of sales.

I didn't know that John Lucas changed his mind about his MGS4 prediction, I thought he would stick with the first thing he said which was:

MGS4 won't be released for the PS3. At all.

That's not equal to 360 exclusivity.

It is selling bad compared to the Wii, but it is selling good for its userbase.
