Why? The majority of PS3s are still phat. Sony doesn't want to brick 23 million consoles.

Besides, PS3 Slim and Phat are almost identical, only difference is reduced size.

mm right now, i think they will keep both in mind equally. when/if the slim sells like 50million then the phattys will be forgotten...im sure of that

I have a 60GB and 3.0 works fine, I never ever had a problem with any updates either

Im keeping my 80gig MotorStorm console, cuz it plays most PS2 games and DOESNT get the YLOD
it also stands perfectly and i love the look of it. also i like 4 usb ports.

only way sony could get me to buy a slim is if my ps3 breaks and they cant repair it so i have to buy a slim. IMO slim is really cool, but i like the Phat.
