Why are so many people shocked that the Xbox could have beaten the GC?

That's also what I think. But then the GC is right where it should be.

xbox is kinda weird because it was better than GC for multi-plats but GC had better exclusives.  If you owned a PS2 already the GC was a much better purchase.

I'd agree with you if the GCN didn't have Resident Evil REmake, or Pikmin, or hell, it's entire library..

I'm sorry, I just can't see how you can compare the Xbox's library to the GCN's D:

HALO, & GC lacked TONS & TONS of 3rd party games that only the PS2 & Xbox got

As a gamecube owner last gen I always felt bad after seeing no gamecube name at the end of game commercials, it really lacked 3rd party support, thats why its so low

as your only system xbox was far better than gamcube but not if you already owned a PS2.  That's what i just said.

obviously they are looking at it from a "only system" point of view....its only fair that way

I wouldn't be surprised to see Xbox before Gamecube. I mean I think it would deserve it somewhat (although Gamecube exclusives made the Xbox exclusives look pathetic). But if that's the only think it has trumping it that shouldn't be the only thing that knocks it over.

Anyways a fairly decent list up there although I don't think they should have ever included the 3DO.
