They weren't $15 for 2 maps; that was me exaggerating a bit. Each map pack is 5.99 for 2 maps, with the most recent one being the exception which will include a new weapon and a map. Still no price on it yet.

so does halo 3, what are there 4 map packs now? And they force you to get them to play any game mode other than social slayer.

All I'm saying is I agree with you, that's shitty, but it's no the only game to do it.

eh.....what? the 15 dollars pack is a bundle with all 6 maps, 2 of them have new weapons and 2 of them are completely remake of KZ1 maps. Expansion packs that has a whopping 2 maps costs 6 dollars each.

If you don't want see games with new maps just choose "Killzone 2 Original" in map option. I think GG said they are done with new maps but I hope they can keep them coming, I really enjoyed new weapons and KZ1 remakes.
