that finishes of PS3 piracy in 1 swift stroke

You can remove the battery in the Dualshock 3. You take out the screws, and inside the battery can just uplug itself. Pretty damn easy.

C'mon, folks, this is old news. Don't tell me you couldn't see the battery was obviously non-removeable from day one.. Big deal.
How the eff does removing a battery allow one to pirate games anyway? I never figured that out.

I know that's how you do it. I'm just wondering like... how it actually works... it seems ridiculious. Like the tech side. I don't want to hack my PSP or any system i have.
Either way... I see this hurting the PSP Go's sales a lot. Good thing they're selling a regular PSP alongside it.

@Kasz216
Pandora battery allows you to load the PSP into service mode, then dump the PSP memory and reinstall a fresh custom firmware.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Ah. Thats... strange.

It is pretty much the exact same thing Sony uses when you send them a bricked PSP. They pop in the service battery, boot it into service mode and reinstall the firmware. TADA! Unbricked PSP and a nice service charge to go with it.
It literally takes no more than 2-3 minutes.
