I disagree with all the love this game is getting. Everything Batman is "cool" since the Christopher Nolan re-imagining of the character and I think that plays a big part in the hype. Its an ok but flawed game, with a nice blend of beat em up and metroidvania. It is worth a rental at best, so I cant see it being best game of any genre.

Instead, let me ask you. Have you read the entire Garth Ennis punisher run? The MAX series is FANTASTIC! Oh man. I'm telling you, get the Punisher Omnibus, and then go for the Max series on amazon, you will NOT be dissapointed.

No, lol. Snake is a killer, of course, but he's just a soldier. Built for the battlefield. He could be easily outplayed by lesser villians, such as Liquid.
I think that when people see Batman fighting, they think that his fighting is the reason he's a hero.
It's his intelligence, and deduction. The Punisher, to a lesser extent, uses his battle tactics, experience, and deduction to fight enemies, kinda like Snake....dude, Snake vs Punisher would be an epic showdown.
Batman is kinda like Jack Bauer(in comics) if Jack Bauer was also a benevolent god bent on world domination, but without the power to kill.

I swear I had a thread about a match between Solid Snake and Batman....Batman won. Only Fanboys blinded by the awesomeness of MGS4 will say Snake. Believe me if you read the comics Batman is the most dangerous Human/Man/Superhero on the face of the planet to the point where he scares the hell outta Superman, Is one of the few males allowed on Theymiscara, and Took Down a GOD. AND HE DOES ALL THIS WITHOUT KILLING

....When the Hell did Batman fight the Swamp Thing successfully? That damn sure wasn't in Alan Moore's run, because in Alan Moore's run Swamp Thing beat Batman's ass like a redheaded step child, and that was before Swamp Thing awoke to the full extent of his powers.
I'm willing to concede that Batman could probably take out anyone in the DC Universe, but any comic character ever? That's where I draw the line. How is Batman going to kill, say... Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet? Or more aptly, Galactus?

I am not up to date on all of the Batman comics but I see "Batman can not be beaten" written all over the place and I have to ask one question.
Didn't Bane break Batman's back in the comics? Knightfall series.
I remember this when I was a kid. I think it may have been when Bane first popped up. I have these comics somewhere.
