Forums - Sales - Arkham Asylum Platform vs Platform Sales Predictions!

It kinda sucks a little that it's been made only for DLC, the people without Internet won't be able to download it...but meh, no sense feeling sorry for those suckers...i'm getting the PS3 version for my brother and we'll be downloading it, mhuahaha...

Well, the PS3 version has quite a bit more preorders in America and multiplats tend to sell better on PS3 in Others.

Really?

Yes, according to ioi's preorder charts...

PS3 version has about 150k preorders in America, 100k for the 360 version IIRC. So you're predictions are a bit on the low side for both :P

PS3 140k-160 k

Xbox 360 175- 230k

And I'm willing to bet on it...

Sorry I kept you waiting...

You do know that in America alone, the pre-orders for the PS3 version alone are higher then 160K right?  In the pre-order chart posted on this site..

@ blood tears, and of course there is Europe to consider

I'd argue pre-orders are less reliable for this game than some other games because a licensed game tends to draw more casual buys than something only the hardcore know about in advance. I think that between that and the positive reviews, this game will have strong legs through the holidays. And the 360 version will sell more lifetime than PS3 because of the legs and install base.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

My copy has just arrived, the demo had me sold and then followed by great reviews I just had to preorder.

I dont really care which console sells more, i expect both will sell more than 1 million and it would be great for quality games if it could hit 3 million+ combined.

Just to keep my post mildly relevant i'll say that I think first week sales of around 600 combined with the 360 just nicking it 330-270.

People said that about Resident Evil 5, and that didn't happen.

I'm not saying it's impossbe but "legs and install base" don't always guarantee victory...

That's because of JP

i'm not really good at predictions but i think sales will be pretty close between the 2 platforms.

and speaking of batman AA, it's effectively $43 on amazon.com right now.

@ axumblade, Burnout Paradise is probably a win for PS3 with the PSN version, but it is those games that sell in Japan that the PS3 wins as well as all football games, it is not unheard of for PS3 versions to win. Somehow it is winning the battle of Ashes Cricket 2009 despite half the userbase in the UK and Aus

yay. I'm glad we've moved on from Devil May Cry to Resident Evil 5 being the poster game for the PS3 outselling the 360 version. :p Unfortunately, why does it always have to be so negative. Devils and Evils and stuff. I guess the PS3 really is the dark side. lol

Asylum sounds pretty evil, too. You don't get much more evil than a prison full of criminally insane people (including a demented, murderous psycho clown).

OT: PS3 version > 360 version, and that's all I'll say.
