I've got it now. I was taking a break from Batman last night and popped it in, creeped me the fuck out. I was freaking out a bit.

That's what I wanna hear

Well to be fair I'm a total vagina when it comes to Survival Horror, but it's legit it looks gritty the way I like my horror (movies, games, etc.) On the first part when they're basically walking you through the tutorial shit will pop up and scream and make you jump.

But I believe this is the first game to ever have a title screen that freaks me out, the face they put up there is really creepy, then it whispers to you, if you've got a nice sound setup like I do you can hear what they say, my friends set up was pretty bad so you can't understand anything but they're speaking to you... it sets you in the right mood.

this was on my interested list but it has just been added alongside MP trilogy and Batman Arkham Asylum to my must have.

problem is - i will but this when launched in uk on 4th September to show my support but i'm expecting to have to send my Wii back as I never bought brawl (dont like fighting games), have a launch Wii and i'm expecting my Wii not to play dual layered discs.

I finally found it. I got to the birdlike boss thing. This game is paced very well, and because of that I enjoy it more than games with "better" fighting gameplay. It is much faster than any of the older Resident Evils as well. This is mostly because saving is much much much easier, and the controls work much much much better. One thing I would like to note is that while the world is big, it is very linear as well. Rarely will you get confused on what you have to do, or which path you have to go. It isn't as linear as pure action games though, because you do find hidden areas that give you incense or books to read. It is a great game from what I've played so far, which isn't far at all, and I expect it to stay that way.

I want it but im so broke at the moment , might pick it up in a month or so, good to hear that it is a good horror game.

I finished RE 5 yesterday decent game tad dissapointing, if you want a horror its a shit one.

Yeah I liked RE5 it was good not as good as RE4, but if you want horror you're not finding it there.  It's really weird but so FAR this gen since the horror genre seems like slim pickings Cursed Mountain is the best horror game out now, it's not to say it'll rank among your favorite horror games ever but it'll be something you'll enjoy and may even talk about and replay (so far for me since I've not beat it).

I say so FAR basically because I'm thinking Silent Hill Shattered Memories will be better on all fronts but I hope people support this effort because it's a small team, small budget, and they've done the best job so far with the horror genre and better then a vast majority of Wii efforts, it shows that they've got a good team with good ideas and I hope they can get this to take off so their next can be higher budget, more time and effort, and be brilliant. It's just one of those teams you really WANT them to succeed.

Just played onen hour, loved it a lot because of the tough atmosphere. Reminds me more Eternal Darkness than Resident Evil. Quite creepy...

Just got my copy yesterday and plan on spending time with it today. Looking forward to a game that is a breath of fresh air.

I couldnt find a copy in stores so I just ordered it on Amazon.

Played for about 2.5 hours. Really great atmosphere. The game really immerses you. I got scared by the first ghost.

The level design is really fricken cool (despite the Linear gameplay). Lighting is pretty good too. Game has a more subtle Resident Evil feel.

Very creepy.....

Got it a couple days ago and so far got mid way through the temple. I'm really enjoying it so far. Like others said it has a great atmosphere, and the story is interesting. Graphics and music are very good. One thing i'm not crazy about are the controls. The guys just walks too slow for my liking. And also the motion controls don't always work, which can be annoying and actually got me killed on that eagle boss thing.
Overall great game though and glad I got it. 8/10

Funny. I want to get scared by a ghost too!

I wish I had a Wii, I'd go and buy this game.
