A large marketing campaign for ODST has the potential to push a few 360s. Even if someone isn't a Halo fan, they can still get suckered in by marketing hype. That said, I don't expect much of a boost. The vast majority of ODST sales will be to existing 360 owners.

I don't see why someone would buy a console for a game expansion.

Halo 3 was a system seller, but the 360 population at that time was far less...with the price cut on 360 models, I think it's pretty safe to say that this will push out more systems than the weekly averages before it.

Halo Reach could sell some systems, but ODST won't do much

No but i know Reach will out sell Halo 3 at launch and Life time sales.

I'd say other than a first week bump that might carry onto a second week there will be very little boost. There are some people out there who will be rebuying the 360 to play ODST.

Well...it would be nice to know what Halo Reach is...

Dunno what Halo Reach is going to be, but it's going to be the biggest Video Game launch ever!!!  Also, I can't help but think that the we're not going anywhere is directed at alot of other stuff...lol!

Depends on the marketing in may push a few over the edge and commit to a purchase if it is strong enough and the price is competitive. Obviously any bundle tie ins will make a difference as well.
