its better than brawl in that, in brawl u can be 160% and the other 110% and but if 110% bad luck its flies to death for dissidia, bravery it's like defense, higher the bravery higher the damage with square attacks. if u break enemy bravery (theiir bravery = 0 done with circle attacks), u get a boost on ur bravery, anything you do to square attacks translates into damage, bravery goes to 0 after that and you are weak an attack. bravery will go back to your default bravery after some seconds. EX mode deals tons of bravery damage and then finish it with HP damage. |
What. How the hell does being 110% and losing against someone with 160% mean it's better than someone hitting 200 hits getting beaten by someone hitting 3? That does not make any sense whatsoever, if you've been hurt enough to be at 110% then the other guy is obviously doing something right. In Dissidia, however, from what I played, it doesn't seem to make any difference what you do.

If you're wondering what I mean by "makes no sense", one player can hit the other player 200 times while the other player hits the first place thrice and still, the other player will win. The game is beyond confusing and I believe it's getting scores on brand name alone. But if you're enjoying the game, good for you. I have no idea how, but that doesn't really matter. |
No idea how? I've been playing the Japanese versions for a long time now. Game is freaking awesome. I never had a problem with the controls and I don't think the camera was great, but I never lost a match because of it.
And you not understanding how brave and HP works doesn't make the game bad.

yes it's called presition.
R + X = dodge.
R = guard.
even if user can do a HP damage attack faster, if you are good u can dodge it, guard u can still get damage. even if he does, if you are fast enough to can do bravery break and HP attack to finish him.
but some random hit can send you flying even if your it's lowers on brawl, just because he was able to hit u first, not way to dodge it, and when trying to get the first it hit, to dodge it.
GameSpy gave it 3.5/5 (= 7/10)

GoodI heard voice acting was fine, and the battle system isn't that hard like someone else said Square and O and thats it. to be honest the more thing to do the better they must not like RPG's then if thats the case.

Getting it first thing tomorrow morning. I think I've decided to use Emperor as my main villain.

When the game never told me how brave and HP works, I think that makes it less than fantastic. Regardless, I'm happy that you're able to enjoy it. For me, it just felt terribly awkward and a lot more trouble than it was worth.
