Good god.. this thread exists? The fact that it does makes me sad.

| Scoobes said: I'm really not sure if you've done this just to make a long thread or because you're grossly misinformed and ignorant of PC gaming. I play on both consoles and PC. Firstly, a good gaming PC will not set you back $1000 unless you like getting ripped off or you want a PC to last you 1.5 console generations minimum. Secondly, your comment about the controls suggests you either seriously lack the basic dexterity, or more likely, you just need to get used to a superior control method :P. Advantages of PC gaming: - User created content... mods, mods and more mods (a lot are actually better than official DLC) - Better controls for FPS, RTS, MMO, RPGs, Point & Click adventures. - Huge backcatalogue of games (Age of Empires, Half-Life 1, Quake, Baldurs gate, Planescape Torment, Fallout 1&2, Command and Conquer) - If you've spent money on a half-decent PC then more detailed graphics then the console (for multiplats, let alone exclusives) - Higher Resolutions - PC exclusives (e.g. Starcraft 2, Crysis 1, Counterstrike: Source, Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2) - Cheaper games - Amazing Indie game scene with games like Darwinia and Uplink - Steam, lots of good deals for getting games |
I pretty much agree with what Scoobies listed there. I have not found a decent RTS on a console yet. The only problem I have with Scoobies list is no Diablo II as exclusive. Diablo II is still one of the most played games out there due to the shear number of mods made for the game.

Lol, I knew I was forgetting something important! I just couldn't put my finger on it. Fixed.

Assassins Creed sol 9 million copies - 4,5 on 360 and 3,5 on ps3. So the Pc sold 1 million...hurray... http://www.vg247.com/2009/08/24/acii-versus-modern-warfare-2-9-million-original-sales-say-well-succeed-says-desilets/ |
You are basing the number of copies sold on consoles on VGC numbers. You are then turning around and cross comparing VGC numbers to data provided in that link. With VGC data, we don't know if legs were overtracked or if the sales spread between the two consoles are accurate. Basically, you're trying to cross compare data, while assuming VGC data is consistent with data provided by Ubisoft.
Demon's Souls Official Thread | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka
A thousand bucks on a PC to run COD4 on highest? Wow man, if that's what they said someone really must be laughing on you now.
- Cheaper games
- User-generated content
- Higher resoltuion than the 576-720p of console games
- Framerates over 30-60
- Better graphics
- Massive catalogue of games
- Customizable gameplay, I play a lot of games with a X360 pad while still managing to use Keyboard and Mouse for shooters
- Console emulation

don't try to argue with him, it's no use.
I like PC gaming because I can use nude mods on games, naked Chun Li, Cammy, Sakura, Rose, C. Viper and Zangief ftw!
the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
the only thing i like the oc for is simcity 3000/4
^You have obviously not played enough on PC. Go play! Now!
I LOVE ICELAND!

I like PC gaming because many PC games tend to cost less, be more engaging or have better control. There are also a lot of fun, FREE PC games :)
