If you want to get a PC for gaming it cost at least 1000 dollars to run call of duty 4 on its highest setting. Then when your done with that the controls suck (aiming with mouse is really hard)

the only thing good i can see is free map packs and online but who cares if it cost you an extra 500 dollars to buy it than just getting on a console with better controls...help me understand

You can get pretty good setup for $600.

1. You don't have to go with 30 fps restrictions. (Just details down and you will get better fps or if you prefer otherway around its possible too.)

2. Mods

3. Loading times are much smaller. (HDD vs Bluray or dvd , lol)

4. Its cheap, if you know what you are doing.

5. Resolution (HD is just a joke for PC gamer)

...

I think 5 is a good start. :)

1.) the sceen is tiny compared to my 64 inch tv.

2.) the controlls suck for fps imo, strategy games are ok

3.)my computer cost 500 dollars and it cant even run call of duty 4 demo on all of its lowest settings

4.) i dont really care about load times

Around the Network

Mouse and keyboard worse for FPS then an analogue stick? lol

And it does not cost 600 pounds to get Call of duty to run on highest settings lol

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Much bigger game library

Superior controls (Any kinds of controllers that are compatible with PC can be bought, and we have the almighty mouse and keyboard)

Upgradable hardware using standardized parts

Better exclusives (I have Blizzard and Valve primarely to thank for that)

RTS GAMES!!!!!!!!

STARCRAFT !!!! E-SPORTS !!!!!!!!

LAN parties

NO F*king payed DLC! (at least not as much as on consoles)

Superior communication. (Skype, Ventrilo)

The hardware periphirals market (Headsets, new keyboards etc) is much bigger and offers a better selection.

So.... yea, there are plenty of reasons to chose PC gaming.

I LOVE ICELAND!

1- Plug your PC into your TV... problem solved

2- Plug your controller into your PC... problem solved

3- You got ripped off.

4- Smaller load times makes alot of difference

some reasons

- FPS are better on PC

- Point click games

- Strategy games

plus what "SmYsiZ" said. LAN PARTY DAMMIT!!!

err type starcraft in google (or even warcraft... it does go beyond wow :p)... or total war.... or civilisation... or mechwarrior.... damn hard to play these outside of PC gaming or without a mouse and keyboard ^^

and for your information, all the nice features like talk to teamates, HD graphics.... that comes from PC.

the only reason games on PC seem a bit less stunning than before, is the 360 that prompted many PC studios to bridge to consoles (hence why the large number of cross platform games... there were barely any before). Then you have piracy that makes creating games for PC less rewarding cash wise than on consoles (hence why some games like GTA or CoD/MW or the next max payne now release on consoles before releasing on PC... although they are PC games originnaly).

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Keyboard/mouse suck for FPS?

*Facedesk*

Moving on...

And what everyone else said sums up what I think, besides Shio saying that there are 300 million PC gamers, lol.

1.) You can connect PC's to HD tv's. I know a shocker lol

2.) Thats your opinion and you are clearly in the minority.

3.)You got ripped off or beought it many many years ago

4.) Again some people do. But load times are so short now that it doesnt matter anyway.

haha you don't know anything about PC gaming!

A built $400 PC can easily run COD4 on it's highest setting. Hell, a built $3xx PC can even run COD4 better than PS360.

PC gaming is cheaper than HD Console gaming:

  1. PC games are much cheaper on average
  2. PC games drop in price much faster
  3. PC has ALOT of deals every week
  4. DLC is mostly free
  5. Mods are even better than DLC, and free too
  6. There are tons of bundles that give you entire series for cheap

Why do you think there's over 300 million PC gamers?

Because pretty much everyone owns a pc so there is bound to be some that play games on the pc!!  300 million is but a fraction of pc owners!
