How about some more prediction MikeB?

I was about to give MikeB credit for making very good predictions until NJ5 showed us 140 million PS3s.

"And triple the amount of X360s I anticipate".

From the man who says:

"Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchise."

"Lifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015."

"If Wii launches in India and China I could see 750 Million easy."

I'd be interested to see how those predictions pan out!

I can't decide which of MikeB's predictions is funnier:

- that the PS3 will sell 15 million per year for the next 7 years, or...
- that the 360 will only sell 15 million more until it stops selling

I think together they're better than the sum of the two parts.

I never said that, at most I said a price cut increases the probabilities of that happening...

What I said back in January was that I didn't believe in price cuts before October... I failed by two months.

Much bigger technical gaps regarding future PS3 and XBox 360 exclusives than we have seen so far for the years ahead of us.

I also think the XBox 360 will not last that long anymore. So far Microsoft seems to have sacrificed a lot of its PC gaming resources to benefit the 360 (many Microsoft published exclusives releasing much later or even not at all for Windows). I think DVD and other older 360 technology will be holding back PC gaming too much in the years ahead of us, PC makers (and Microsoft) will want to see gamers upgrade (towards newer hardware and operating system) and with XBox 360 lead development this will IMO hold this back.

I also expect a (cheaper) PS3 to hold up pretty well technically with the new XBox once it launches.

People will be dissapointed by what was promised for Natal.

Mass cloud computing / gaming is the future (but still far from the present).

The fact remains, all of us made terrible predictions except for me, but don't try to gloat when you right 10% of the times.

Just don't put words in my mouth... I never predicted Sony to go bankrupt, with or without a PS3 price cut. My Sony predictions have come true for the most part, including the billions of dollars in losses that no one talked about before January.

However funny and outrageous (let's face it, Mike, some of your predictions are wayyyy out there... ) OP's predictions are at times there are certainly members who make twice as crazy ones who never get half the heat for it.
In fact, one of them has posted in this thread and another has all but disappeared from Vgchartz it seems.
I think I've been just as wrong as Mike, or perhaps even more so, but I haven't received a shred of the flack he has for it.
