Why do people think FFXIII is gonna do these insane numbers because its multi-platform? Jesus christ that's more than Call Of Duty 4 and

Not sure, I wouldnt underestimate the power of a real final fantasy title...we've been starved for so long. I predict the game itself will push around 500,000 PS3s, possibly 800,000 and will sell just under 2 million first week, but that is an absolutely high end in my mind, I just don't underestimate the game, its much more popular than dragon quest.

Should be close to 3 million, to be more exact 2.75 million.

If there's 4 million PS3's out in Japan by the time FFXIII is released (Which there should be) then it should sell 1.6 - 1.9 million copies first week, and it should be able to sell another million after that for a LTD sales of 2.75 million.

Before making some crazy predictions we should take a look at the sales of previous games.

Final Fantasy VII --- 1st week 2.034.879 --- LTD 3.277.776
Final Fantasy VIII --- 1st week 2.504.044 --- LTD 3.501.588
Final Fantasy IX --- 1st week 1.954.421 --- LTD 2.707.301

My prediction: Its first week will be around 1,5 million, maybe a little bit higher, so it will be a very nice opening. Final Fantasy titles use to be very frontloaded but in this case since the ps3 userbase is very low it will be even more frontloaded as usual so it will have to struggle a lot to reach 2 million.
