Forums - Nintendo - IGN's Metroid Prime Trilogy Review

From watching the video review, it looks like Prime 3 looks significantly better than the other two, technically. It seemed when the Prime 3 first came out, there were a lot of comparisons saying it wasn't much of an upgrade, but it looks quite a bit better imo. Also how is the multiplayer in Prime 2? I've wanted to play a split screen FPS on the Wii for a long time and there are very few available.

too bad i already beat the 3 of them, but bouncing back metroid primes attacks with the wiimote is tempting, yet metroid prime 2 is still as average as it was before.

Metroid Prime is such a great series. Jeez Retro hurry up and announce something! Even though I own all three, I may pick this up sometime next year for the controls.

360 Games Now Playing   360 Games unopened:  Resonance of Fate  Last 360 Game I Beat: Resident Evil 5

DS Games Now Playing: Dragon Quest VI  DS Games unopened Knights in the Nightmare, Etrian Odyssey III, Okamiden, Dragon Quest IX Last DS Game I beat: Radiant Historia

Wii Games Now Playing  Super Mario Galaxy 2, Arc Rise Fantasia  Wii  Games unopened  Little King's Story, Sonic Colors, Silent Hill Shattered Memories Last Wii Game I beat: Sin & Punishment 2

I have played all three and i'm still psyched to get this.

Well, it's good for many but not for people like me who have beaten all 3 games. I would have hoped they were focusing fully on making a new game rather than porting games. Nintendo should have hired another team, it's a waste of talent.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Retro is a pretty large company with alot of staff i doubt this compilation would have taken too many resources away from whatever else they are working on at the moment.

Not that big, they never worked on more than 1 project at a time I think. So it was obvious time taken away from the main project. But I don't really care, since the series of GC ports are already over so every team that was forced to handle the ports is already free to work on something new.

I own all three games, but I'm still going to pick this game up at some point.

Sounds like they are doing something to me. I doubt a port would be using up ALL of their resources. They have to be working, slowly maybe, but working on a new game.
