Gonna be funny watching the very envious M$ doing their best to out do them with that.

the reason I think the haters of the 10 year plan are stupid is because they are so narrow minded. Just because Sony said it they think only Sony will accomplish it. No... that's not what the 10 year is. Everyone can obtain it., I don't see Nintendo, MS, Sony, or SW devs/pubs wanting to start a new gen so quickly. I mean... them putting the 10 year plan down just shows they have very little faith in their system.

No, it means we easily admit that we don't know how long a particular console will remain sustainable from a business perspective.  Your approach is fine for religion... it doesn't work well in business.

Your logic is flawed. The PS3 hasn't even sold 25 million worldwide yet in the 3 years it's been on the market. At the rate they are going it would take another 9 years for it to reach 100 million. We also know that sales will start to get smaller and smaller, especially once the new Next-Gen series of consoles get released. Those new consoles will be out in 2012 at the latest. That's just 3+ years away. I don't even see the PS3 selling 100 million, unless Sony keeps it around for 12-13years. By 10 years it'll probably have sold 75-80mil I'm thinking. XBox 360 will be closer to 100 million.
