Predicting Wrestlemania:

Main Event #1: Rock vs. John Cena (w/ Cena as the winner)
Main Event #2: Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk (w/Punk retaining the title)
Main Event #3: Wade Barret (champion) vs. Sheamus (Sheamus wins)
Undertaker vs. Triple H (Taker wins again)
Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show (D Bryan wins)
Beth Phoenix vs. Kharma (Kharma wins)

Plus some random silliness featuring Santino and Brodus Clay (with possible Hornswoggle appearance)
Tag team title match (dark match--nobody will care)
Something cool featuring Miz and Dolph Ziggler

I don't know if the Rock would come back for just one match to lose.

I agree with everything but Bigshow/ Daniel Bryan.

Think they'll throw in a gimic match (shaq vs Big Show is talked about)

or some sort of tag/big match to involve more people.

My logic behind the Rock losing (and I REALLY want him to win) is that he did it before.  He was gone for years, came back to help Mick Foley when Orton and Batista were a tag team (Evolution), and lost to those guys.  Orton and Batista weren't even "over" at that time.  The next day, they were like "Good job guys.  I hope you're happy.  You beat a Hollywood actor and an old man..."

Also, The Rock will come in for what is likely a one night only thing.  Do they really want want this star who's only going to be there for one day to come in and beat their #1 face?  It would make more sense to me if the two put up one hell of a fight, Cena barely gets a victory, and the Rock FINALLY says "Okay.  Looks like the WWE is in good hands." and passes the torch to the current generation with his blessing.  It would be like The Rock beating Hulk Hogan.  Plus, Cena has been getting dogged by the Rock on Twitter, Wrestlemania, and Survivor Series without a single victory over The Rock.  He's due.

Arguments against my logic:

  • Football players, sumo wrestlers, boxers, etc. have been coming in and beating top WWE talent for ages, now.
  • Cena already beat HBK and HHH at Wrestlemania and that didn't make him.
  • I want The Rock to win.

Whatever happens, the time is drawing near.

Wise predictions D21L, I agree for most of them except for the Sheamus/ Barrett thing.

Yeah.  I know.  It's not WM quality.  I was just having a hard time thinking of someone to put Sheamus against.  I'm not really a Sheamus fan, to be honest.  Orton's back so how about a Triple threat with Orton, Sheamus, and Barrett?

The CM Punk and Daniel Bryan match was actually very, very good. I am glad that there was a DQ because I didn't want either to lose cleanly.

Predictably the Undertaker returns just before Wrestlemania to his part time job and predictably I don't care.

I too am sick of him doing this every year. =|

He comes back just to beat someone every year.  I mean come on... it's not like he's ever going to lose at Wrestlemania.  Might as well fast forward past that match.

I don't mind him coming in and beating someone every year.  I just like thinking "Oh my God!  This could be it!!"  No other match ever made me feel like Taker could be beaten more than his two matches with HBK.  And, even though HBK lost, he and Taker put on such amazing matches that I found myself watching them over and over again just to appreciate the show that those two had put on.  A rematch between HHH and Taker--after we just saw it last year with both of them past their prime?  After we saw it in 2001 with both of them in the best shap of their lives?  Gimme a break.  The only thing that makes it interesting is the possibility that Triple H may be egotistical enough to book himself as the winner vs. the Undertaker.

I kinda hope there isn't a Taker match this year.  He's an old man, now.  He's been suffering from injuries for several years, now.  That match, last year, you could see that the Undertaker was really hurting but still trying to put on a great show.  It's not fun watching a person take potentially career ending--hell, screw his career-- life threatening risks when you know what they're going through.  Like HBK when he had a broken back or Edge and Stone Cold with their fragile necks, Undertaker needs to stop.  It's not worth it for that "Wrestlemania Moment", anymore.

I know also if you didnt notice during his return the hair he came in with was fake! Since he cut it back during the summer it didnt grow back the same. This makes me wonder what are they gonna do now. I hope he comes back on the bike as the American-badass! Highly doubt it though but one can dream lol

There is definitely gonna be a Taker match this year. I have no idea how long theyre gonna keep this going (although i have feeling this might be the last one since if he wins he'll be 20-0 at Wrestlemania) but ive heard on wrestling sites theyre planning to make shawn michaels the special guest referee.
