Where would you expect to see more HD JRPGs in the future if Final Fantasy XIII sold 2 million plus copies in Japan on PS3 alone, 4 million in the West on PS3 and 2 million in the West on 360?

Like CGi said, 3rd party will be multiplat and the 1st party exclusive. People argue that 360 don't sell rpg, but there's already a good base for the genre in the system, and ps3 still stronger in Japan and have nice base worldwide. Well, it's a better discussion the real proportion of sales on each system. I think japanese sales for average JRPG will be something like 80% PS3 and 20% 360.
For worldwide we could see 60%PS3 and 40%360.

the niche will stay on the ps3.
ps3 have large base there enough to justify a exclusive in japan.
especially the base will go faster than ever did now in japan for a while after 13.
but microsoft will make sure at least they get a port, or delay the ps3 version.

360 has already made its mark as the JRPG console of this gen. Now if FFXIII comes out and sells 5 to 1 on the PS3, then other JRPG publishers might take notice.
