trilogy has more bang for buck but if you've played at least 2 in the series already, then go NSMBW.

get both, metroid prime trilogy comes out next week, buy metroid now and buy NSMB:Wii in 2 months when it comes out, enough time to save up some money.

He said in the OP that he was getting both, but could only get one in December and another in february.

I would say New Super Mario Bros. Wii, it's better for multyplayer fun in the holidays.

I voted for MP Trilogy though...

It is 3 amazing games. Will easily take you to February to finish all three with any respectable % of completeness.

Now, these are solo play games. So, the only thing that might make me change my mind is if you intended to be play with siblings/family/friends/etc. then obviously NSBWii is the preferred choice.

Its no contest. Trilogy is a collectors item, meaning you wont be able to find one in the near future. Any Mario game, on the other hand, will be ready and avalible for a looong time.

I know this is cheating, but you really need to figure out a way to buy both games as soon as possible. Seeing as Trilogy comes out in 5 days, I think it's time for you to do anything in your power to make some money.

But then again, if you can't, then I'd go with Metroid Prime Trilogy. It might be harder to find in February than in December.
