Shouldn't installs remove the need to swap disks anyway?

No because when you install a game to the hard drive you still have to have the disc in there for verification. Imagine if you wouldn't have to do that then everyone would go to blockbuster and rent games while keeping them for much easier piracy.

Not quite, only one disk is really needed for verification purposes. Say you need to have disk one in the machine to play but then can have 2 and 3 installed. Then no disk swapping would be neccessary.

Am I missing something?

I don't think Sony ever bundled games that are not first or second party.

I own Lost Odyssey and when I installed all the discs to my hard drive it was still seeking Disc 4 for verification when I was on disc 4. Sorry maybe I'm confused or something.

It's just that simple.

Whatever it is, its possible, as in data can be placed on the HDD, with the essential files on the discs needed to play them.

Regardless MS wont allow it, Forza 3's second disc is being passed off as 'DLC,' my guess is those that dont install it can still play the first disc only without the extra tracks.

They just announced that Gundam/slim bundle.

Pretty sure there was a Yakuza 3 bundle, too.

they do like the RE5, final fantasy 7 advent children complete ect...

they bundled mgs4

3 discs???

I'm dissappointed...

4 ≈ One

Did Sony ever bundle a game that wasn't exclusive with the PS3 though? In Japan it's pretty much assured it's going to be bundled, hell I think they made a bundle with a FF movie once. In the West it's another question.

I was hoping for 4 discs.
