Forums - Website Topics - Should VGChartz enhance security on people's profiles like Facebook does?

I was thinking about this for a long time. It makes sense that if you are not on anyone's friend list you can't check out their profile or write on their wall. You could only try to add them as a friend.

Besides profiles and whatnot, i think they should also provide security on the whole site in general. Idk, somethin to try to prevent hackers from coming on this site.

Its just a suggestion. what do you guys think?

No.

I don't think VGC ever had wall writing (grafiti???) issues. Making messages friend-only, and friend add subject to aproval makes more sense.

"Locking" profiles in that manner would be the worst thing they could possibly do. The community wouldn't feel as open if that was the case.

now when i think about it. i was wrong.

And after thinking about it all that time! If only you'd thought about it a few seconds longer...

If you don't want people to see certain information don't put it on your profile.

And there you have it.

Enhance security by selling private information for cash and tricking them into handing over all manner of pictures that can be used for anything? No thanks, no website deserves to make money on stabbing their users in the back and screwing them over in the terms of agreement.
