GT5 is the 'Real Driving Simulator'

For those who asked or mentioned about day - night cycle I say this:

A car with headlights on doesn't mean the race will take place at night.
A night race isn't new to GT series(though limited to few tracks).
New to the series and pretty much innovative would be a 24 hour race(like lemans 24 in GT4) with actual day - night cycle and effects in real time. That would be something never seen before and something GT5 should have since PS3 is the perfect beast to provide it.
Hopefully we'll see it...

I'm very worried about the damage system. Not to get slated for being daft, but with not all cars having damage how will the racing be fair. I'm really praying they nail it. Its the only thing stopping me from enjoying these staggering visuals.

Class racing that how it will be fair, you wont be running a GTR vs some lemans beast.

By the way wtf does damage have to do with enjoying great visuals ?

I meant that if the damage isnt spot on it will tarnish the game for me personally. I worded it clearly enough.

I see that the damage in the demo is really mild now.

I do believe you can select the level of damage like physics.


I don't think they were showing the pro physics and highest level of damage.
Wait until TGS, more info will come.

This is going to be day 1 for me and will definitely get the collector edition if available.

Even if only a third ( the popular models) of the cars have proper damage I'll be happy. So long as ALL cars have performance problems even if its not visible.
That video really impressed me.
