wow, so now that the PS3 just got a price cut that some expect the ps3 to start selling more than the xbox360 in sept. and if it does not do so in sept. than the ps3 will be 3rd...wow, like when does this generation end..2010,2011, 2012...

last time i checked the generation end's when the current companies all release a new system..

all release a new system this generation will not be over with.

Nintendo will have to counter with a price drop on wii fit. it looks doubtful at this point that wii fit will track down the PS3 in sales.

If GT 5 is imminent, the remainder of the year can be tremendous for the PS3 indeed!

Outsell the 360? Maybe - depends on MS response. Outsell the Wii? Don't see it happening. Too many non-gamers still buying the Wii.

Well there's always the arguement that the Ps3 is STILL the most expensive of the three...

agree...but it does not matter anyway because all three systems are doing great this generation..first if you consider the first xbox got 24 million in its life time and already the xbox360 surpassed that in a short ammount of time on the market, the ps3 may not have the market share the PS2 or PS1 had but in the same market but on the same token the ps1 or the ps2 never had all the functionality that the ps3 has rolled up in one for a low price compared to what the ps1 and the ps2 had, now that may not be important to some but for other's the ability to use a PS3 as a LINUX PC is a great added function that i had to pay $200.00 for for the PS2 and the fact that its free for the ps3 is a BIG PLUSE FOR ME. and not much more needs to be said about the Wii Nintendo has a grand slam on its hand's an for many people who never thought they would ever get into video games Nintendo sure helped in expanding the market and no matter what that's in of itself a great thing.

All three companies have done some things that people may not have liked. but on a whole I think all three have done more thing's that are good for the industry than bad.
