Well I just saw this http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=82209&page=1 thread And noticed that vgchartz PS3 has a failrate of 6.8% 

So I decided to make a thread were everybody tells wether they own a 360 and if its ever broken down, and the cause of the breakdown.  This won't be as extensive as the other thread because I am just interested in the vgchartz 360 failure rate.

Rules:

1. NO TROLLING!!

2.Well known Sony fanboys/anti-MS people won't be counted.

3. You have to have 50 posts (to eliminate most troll accounts)

And please just tell the truth.

EDIT: Ok, it looks like vgchartz 360's failrates are 41.25 right now (33/80)

I will update again if anybody else posts their 360's.

As for me I owned 2 360's (only one now) And both have failed once due to RROD

2 360's
1 Pro model, died on me once then got rid.
1 Elite on release day, died twice but got it repaired... still going strong today

I have had 7 RRoDs. I played a lot

One 360 got it in June of 06, it has RROD on me twice once in Spring of 07 and December of 08...

Late 2006 - Late 2007 - Pro (no problems, sold)
Late 2007 - present - Elite (no problems)

I have owned 4 Xbox 360's and none were from failure.

1) Xbox 360 Pro had for a month and exchanged it for Xbox 360 Elite
2) Xbox 360 Elite had for 2 months and traded it in for a used 60GB PS3
3) Exchanged my used 60GB PS3 for a Xbox 360 Elite
4) Traded in my Xbox 360 Elite for a new 80GB PS3 Motorstorm bundle

My last 360 and the one I currently own was a year or 2 years ago when I purchased the Xbox 360 Arcade for $250. It has been running ever since. This 360 has the Falcon chipset also so its certainly reliable!

I did a lot of trading and exchanging but at that time I was confused on whether to own a PS3 or a 360 and ended up buying both and buying a Wii!

I have owned 2 360's. A launch Core, that I got on release day. (No issues, sold it to a buddy a year ago who is still playing it today with no failures).

My second is my current 360, an Elite. Never had any issues or RROD.

I have always kept my 360 in a well ventilated area and well maintained.

Absolutely love my 360. I own all of them and it is by far my favorite console this gen.

I have a 20GB Pro from early 2006, I've had one RROD and an E74.

I've got a latest up-to-date Jasper Arcade "TWEAKED" 360 model with a hard-drive and so far so good, no compalints other then no online for the seraphic. :(

i ´ve only had one xbox since early january, it´s an arcade with a 60 gb hdd, and so far never had any problems with it=)
