Capcom is the one that screwed Nintendo during the GC days.

How do you figure? Between RE Remake, 2, 3, Zero, and RE 4, plus the originals like Vieful Joe (sp?), I think they did alright.

When Capcom said they'd build a closer relationship to Nintendo for the GC, they put out some titles I still own. Would be good to see Capcom getting their crap back together for the Wii.

While I agree that Capcom supported the GC very well, I wouldn't count 2 and 3 to their efforts seeing as how they were pretty much nothing but PS ports. Now REmake, on the other hand, was a game worth owning.

I hope Nintendo extends this willingness to collaborate to smaller publishers as well (Marvelous) as they need the help a lot more than Capcom.

Give me Power Stone Wii with online play, 1st day buy for me...

So give us more Megaman then...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

If you listen to the first The Wiire  (then the Revolution Report) podcast, in their discussion of the RE5 announcement (in July 2005), they note how Capcom announced RE4 would move to the PS2 rather than being a GC exclusive -- just before its GC release. They then discuss how this move might have hurt software and console saales.

If this is true (I don't remember and have not had time to verify), it would show some double-dealing. I -- as well as the podcast crew -- did not blame Capcom for its decision per se, only the timing of the announcement.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Really? But they gave Nintendo so many exclusives.

Is that sarcasm? It gets hard to tell.

Didn't they try that last gen?

Yes, and we all know that this gen is very much alike last gen, right?

In my opinion, Capcom has been the strongest 3rd party developer on Nintendo systems since the NES, and they can still be in the Wii generation. It is not in any way Capcom's fault that the Gamecube wasn't a smash hit, they put amazing games out for that system. I hope we will get something on the Wii that has the high quality standards of REmake, Viewtiful Joe or RE4. Okami was a port, so it doesn't really count (but thanks anyway, Capcom :) )

Since GameCube era they never originally put mainline RE title on leading console. What's their problem?
