Forums - Nintendo - Yahtzee Reviews The Conduit

His reviews are good for a laugh but I don't take them seriously. In fact, I don't think he wanted anyone to take them seriously. By his logic, Metal Gear Solid 4 had a terrible story and poorly done stealth mechanics when IMO it is the exact opposite.

the dude is a comedian, i don't think anyone here takes comedians seriously if they joke about racism right?
this guy is also a comedian review, he jokes!

I think it's the predictability thing. The reviews used to be great because you didn't know what he was going to say. Now you kind of do. Was there anything in there you didn't expect him to say?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Haha, great fun. Since I never played the game nor I intend to, I can try to imagine the game as he pictures it. Probably not close to how it is in reality, but I had a great laugh with the video, I love how he reviews games even though I usually miss parts because he speaks too damn fast

He basically pointed out the fault of all Wii FPS games: they don't control as well as PC FPS games. In order for Wii FPSs to become as good as PC FPSs, they have to have a centered reticule that never moves, it just moves the screen, like on the PC.

Why isn't this control scheme the case anyway?  Is it not possible on wii?

Probably just doesn't feel natural.  If you're pointing the wiimote to the side of the TV to turn and you try to fire at the person you see it would be wierd if you fired in the middle of the screen instead of where you're pointing.  Issue just doesn't show up with a mouse.

It's counter intuitive aiming right to shoot straight., plus you would need to "zero" it by pressing a button every 2 seconds similar to lifting up the mouse.

The only thing I disagree with im on in this game is the controls, which are great and way better than dual analog which he never seems to care about. So he simply hates the wii remote.

Other than that, it was surprisingly accurate and i agreed with him. The game does look like crap, but not technially crap, an HD high resolution bump mapped turd is still a piece of shit.

I never take his reviews seriously that's why I love them! The only thing I don't like is that with his Wii reviews he does the same jokes the media has been doing for awhile I expect more from him..

Former something....

Why not just tap a button to "zero" it again. I thought I would enjoy FPS games more on the Wii but I didn't.  It feels even more awkward somehow.
