Edit: And LBP is my favorite game this gen, clocking in at #5 on my all time list, behind the 3D console Zeldasm and just ahead of Okami. In basic platforming, there are better games out there, but LBP's mix of platforming, hilarious (and cheap) deaths at the hands of friends, and insane replayability with all the crazy user levels makes it a winner in my book. I've played this game far more than any other game released this gen (possibly ever, depending on how much I played Age of Mythology and Mario Kart 64 back in the day). Playing with friends online just can't be beat. |
Dude, you are my hero. MK64 and AoM are two of my favorite games ever! I still play both of them, to be honest.
OT: I completely agree. LBP is also one of my favorite games. I've spent more time with LBP than most other games of any console generation. The level creator is a blast to mess around with when you're playing with friends, the levels that came with the game are entertaining, the community levels are just incredible (people have a ton of time on their hands!), and I can't tell you how fun it is for me to just run around and slap people/ stick random stickers everywhere. Plus, the music in this game is really fun and catchy. LBP is pretty much the perfect game for people who just want to have fun.
