I just bought myself a PS3 and am dependent on the Sony fans to tell me which games are good.  I have already bought Fallout 3, SF4, Soul Calubur 4 and Valkaria Chronicles.

I mainly like strategy, RPG and action/adventure games.  However, when it comes to FPS games, I prefer ones that innovate somewhat.  Multiplayer is not a concern for me.

I appreciate any input.

Uncharted, Resistance: Fall of Man, both really cheap and 2 of the best games on Ps3

Saint's Row 2 is my favorite PS3 game.
But since you like strategy rpgs I say Disagea

Try Folklore if you've exhausted other ideas. It starts slow, but overall it's a good game.

As for RPGs, Eternal Sonata is probably the best non-strategy rpg out on the PS3 now.

You should try:

Bioshock (for innovative SP FPS)
Oblivion (pretty cheap/good WRPG)
Civilization revolutions (pretty fun strategy game, with some flaws granted)
Assassins Creed (Quite fun and cheap action/adventure)

I'll leave it at those 4.

FPS;

Killzone 2 is not a FPS, its a First Person War Simulator lol Demo is on the psn store.

^ Thats the only innovative shooter I can think of for ps3.

RPG;

Cross Edge- Actually good, don't listen to the reviewers. It's 8.5 at best. Lot's of characters and the combos are bad ass as well.

Disigea 3- Good as well.

Action/Adventure;

Uncharted
Ratchet and Clank
Infamous

Little big planet

Since you say you like SRPG's, Disgaea3 is worth every cent.

Humorous story.
Great Characters.
Deep battle Battle/Leveling system.
And an assload of lasting appeal if you really get into the game.
