How many active accounts do you expect for this game after 2 years release? And what will happen with FFXI? How much you think S-E will charge monthly?

Well, I say that FFXIV will have near 2 million players paying monthly fees to play and FFXI should stay with 200k players. Well, nowadays FFXI costs 12.95$, so i expect to it to be cutted to 5 $ and FFXIV costs 15$ a month.

Don't underestimate alot of FFXI players. They are devoted to that game, I was one of them.

We can't at all predict it. Nobody would say that this generation CoD would be such a major IP and Medal of Honor would bomb and disappear.

FFXIV can't either bomb or turn out to be huge. But we simply don't know.

That is why they call it a prediction, it is just what "YOU" think it will be. No one knows what it will really be.

If it's really good I think it can do this well. People seem quite open to well recieved games this gen on the HD systems.

While I don't know anything about the FF franchise, apparently Square-Enix has the ability, talent, and money, to create several-million seller franchises.

After the success of WoW MMOs were mistaken for easy money. (Actually, Blizzard is a greatly talented and powerful developer) After its followers failed, the genre was seen as unable to keep the subscribers. (Actually, these follower companies were weaker than Blizzard, none of them had the means to create ANY ten-million seller). The MMO genre was neither an advantage, nor a disadvantage.

Square-Enix is a company that COULD make games that attract several million users.
And of course, they can make failures, too.
