That guy looks like a Gerbil.

Activision is pushing the limits of gaming economics, the only issue making it different is that they're admitting it to the world. I would imagine that their attitudes reflect the simple dollars-and-sense mentalities of other companies, who are just less willing to be so forthright about it
Basically, the only emergency here is Kotick's attitude. Otherwise it's just business as usual.
Okay, i watched the video, and this guy's arguments are whack.
1. The model that Epic games proposed has never been tested
2. The model that Criterion used costs more money to the developer
3. He said that this was serious business, and he was someone who didn't need to go out and get a life. I laughed at this
4. He claimed this could lead to the 2nd gaming crash. Impossible. The publishers could easily, easily correct this error before it got out of hand. Activision could easily drop the price of Modern Warfare 2 before too long.
5. Internet boycotts are like internet petitions, they don't work.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

U should try Tony Hawk's American Skateland for the DS, it's actually pretty fun.
As for the video, this dude obviously knows nothing about business.

I noticed that too. Just thought he had been drinking a bit too much. Well, I hope prices don't go up, I have a hard time setting aside the money for games now (after paying the many many bills that I have).
Guess what Super Mario Bros. 2 cost in the late 80's. It was $50.00, when the dollar was worth much more, and production costs were much less. So, get over it.

It didn't have any DLC. The game was complete in the cartridge.
I LOVE ICELAND!

So? What if a developer wants to add to the gaming experience but already shipped the game? DLC is a good thing

Activision have been selling millions with call of duty series and now they want to raise games price because of higher developement costs?
Are 20 million games sold by COD modern warfare and COD world at war on PS3/360 not enough to give activision very good profit?
In my country , Portugal, a new game is 60- 70 EUROS and minimum salary is 450 euros. It´s very hard to buy games, not mention the recession, and they want to increase games price?

Oblivion was one of the largest games this gen along with FALLOUT3 and they received DLC support
