Forums - Sony - Sony's marketing should take advantage of defective 360s.

Once the PS3 Slim releases, 1 thing they should do is "Send us your dead XBOX 360 and we'll give $100 off of a new PS3 Slim."  With the continuous supply of junk hardware MS is putting out, I'm sure a decent number of people would take advantage of this way out of the vicious cycle of repairs.  I never could understand why consumers have been so tolerant of  an obviously defective product.

I learned tolerance of defective consoles during the PS1 + PS2 eras.

Actually, my 360 has been no more problematic than my PS2, and less so than my PS1. And, hell, at least Microsoft admitted they had a problem and took care of it for me.

it's so true.

That would be rather funny.

I wonder if it would work, and if so... how many 360 owners would want to do it.

Yes.

what would sony do wiht broken 360?

MS should make ads saying that you can trade in PS3 for 100 bucks off 360.
Then they can turn those consoles around and sell them...and actually make profit on hardware.
