Pokemon Platinum, if you count it, will be in there.

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you count it?

I meant if you would count it as a 2009 title. It released in 2008 in Japan, didn't it? Same with FF13 for 2010.

It has sold 3.3 million so far in 2009. That's all that we're counting.

This isn't about when it launched... it's just how many it sold in 2009.

Wii Fit didn't launch in 2009 but it has sold more in 2009 than any other game.

forza? wasn't gran turismo for this December
GT5 will what forza will do ltd in 2 weeks or less.

  1. Wii Sports (Wii)
  2. Wii Fit (Wii)
  3. Wii Sports Resort (Wii)
  4. Wii Fit Plus (Wii)
  5. Halo ODST (X360)

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

You forgot Gran Turismo 5

I said that I excluded all future releases (save one) as I felt that they were too hard to predict. Did you not read that?

And still, I doubt GT5 has any chance of making it. It is TBA, so it is doubtful that it will be released before Nov/Dec. And as a result of that, I doubt it will make 4M in this year - after all, GT is a rather legged franchise.

Kantor, I consider it likely that MW2 will release this year, but I'm not certain, as it has yet to be confirmed.

Please ignore the list I made I had my mind on the top Holidays

Worldwide for 2009 I'd estimate something like this -

1)Wii Sports - 20m - 25m

2) Wii Fit - 9m - 13m

3) Wii Sports Resort - 6m - 8m

4) New Super Mario Brothers Wii - 4.5m-6.5m

8) Dragon Quest IX - 4m

8) Pokemon Platinum - 4m

10) The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - 3.5m

11) Assassin's Creed 2 (X360) - 3.0m

11) Gran Turismo Portable (X360) - 3.0m

11) Resident Evil 5 (PS3) - 3.0m

11) Resident Evil 5 (X360) - 3.0m

Whoa! That's a lot, but some of it seems a bit strange.

Mario Kart Wii - 4-6m.

It has already sold 4M. There are 17 weeks left of the year, and it is currently selling 100K/week. Even without a christmas boost, it can't go below 5M. With christmas, I don't see how it can fail to sell 7M.

Wii Fit - 9-13M

It has already sold 7.7M, and is selling 150K/week. There's quite simply no chance of it failing to sell 11M, is there?

Pokemon Platinum - 4m

It has already sold 3.4M, and it is selling at a fair pace. I don't see how it can fail to sell 5M personally.

EA Sports Active - 2.5M

It's at 1.6M, is launching in Japan, and sold 70K last week. I cannot see it failing 3M, and 4M seems much more likely.

All in all, it seems as if you think christmas is hardly going to give a boost at all, or am I misunderstanding you?

Edit:

You also have both Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros selling a mere 500K more for the year, don't you think that is underestimating them? I mean, that would make them sell less during the christmas quarter than in any of the other quarters.

Edit 2:

You're including Spirit Tracks, yet I can find no proof of it being confirmed for 2009, did I miss something?
