he was talking about hyping on the forums, everyone else has been talking about games they think are reviewed too high.  If you look some even held themselves to games that are 90+.  Then he comes in and just blankets a statement with something having nothing to do with reviews.  He is off topic.

edit: and btw, if I'm that biased why in the hell did I let Vlad's comment slip past?  his reasons were borderline offensive (the only reason I thought of taking action), but atleast he was talking about the topic at hand and not trying to incite some ridiculous fan fight that I've seen a hundred times.

K seriously, most overated game is Mass Effect...I played the game on PC and I don't know what's all the fuss about...

I think a lot of games are overrated. But then I give them a second chance and, most of the time, my mind changes. Examples of this are Virtua Fighter (the whole series), Gears of War, Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden, The Wind Waker etc.

Some games... I just don't get what people see in them. I think Shenmue and Forza (the first one) are incredibly overrated.

lots and i mean LOTS of games this gen are overrated. GTAIV, Fallout 3, Gears of War, Halo 3, Bioshock, Resistance 2..thats just to name a few

FFXII (great game, deff one of the weaker FF's imo, but got 92 on meta :S)

Everyone who watched me play Shenmue (brothers, friends) said it looked like the most boring game.....ever.

But when you actually play it, it was really good.

Oblivion and Morrowind

To be honest, I'd put Crysis in the same way I'd put every single FPS except Quake 1 and 2. They all suck to me, Crysis was no different. Don't take it as anything personañ

And yes, MGS3. Saddens me, I loved MGS1 and 2. But I think Kojima screwed up a bit on that one, I didn't like the gameplay, he tried to add many things and the game ended just not as much fun as 1 and 2

But you gave me a good idea, I forgot Mass Effect, gotta add it. Would Fable count too? I don't know if it was that good rated, and the gameplay was good...it's just that the story sucked a lot
