I was just at Gamestop putting money down on Metroid Prime Trilogy, and I asked if they were taking preorders for Mass Effect 2, he said that they were, so I told him to throw some money on there for me. He looks at his screen and says "For 360 or PS3?" WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?!?!? Gamestop computer system confused confirmed or do they know something we don't?

Could be either, really, but I'm leaning more towards their database being screwed up. If it was coming for PS3 we probably would've heard something about it by now, don't you think?

Unlikely, probably just an hour like usual. And the Gamestop guy just didn't keep up with video games enough to know that the computer was wrong.

Is this the worst kept secret of gaming? Or is it the most incorrectly assumed piece of nonsense? I dunno, but I intend to get ME2 on PC. :D

Well, if it DOES go to PS3, it will be happening at Gamescom.

After that i think we can let the rumor die.

Computers can't be wrong unless they're messed up..  They only do what their users make them do=P

Plus, how is an employee of a store supposed to know that the information displayed is wrong?  Even if he did assume it was only coming to 360, it would make me think twice if I saw a PS3 version as well..

That said, I think at the very least it'll be timed exclusive, if not fully exclusive. 

Maybe he meant to say PC? Does Gamestop sell PC games, I've never been in one?

If he kept up with gaming news he would know that ME2 hasn't been announced for PS3 and even if it showed up he would assume it was:
1. an error or
2. not something he should be telling every Tom, Dick, and Harry that walks into Gamestop.

I hope I'm not heading for a ban by making my first thread about a Gamestop rumor. . .

Well when I put Killzone 2 on reserve I had a gamestop employee ask me "for which system?" so maybe you had a uninformed employee as well??
