I wonder if Nintendo "demanded" silence from Activision's part so The Conduit could get a little atention.

At best it will do 12 players, since every mode in Modern Warfare on the HD consoles does 12 players, except for Ground War which is 18.
A prequel coming out before a sequel, for FPS? Non-linear story based FPS? Wow.
And a port, handled by Treyarch? Well, Wii owners are finally getting a Modern Warfare, but don't bitch if/when it doesn't come out as well as the original version

I got sick of the "in before" statements years ago.
The only reason people use them is because most of the time, they're true. It's like stereotypes: as negative as they may seem, they didn't just come from thin air

EDIT: I'd rather not be banned, so I'll remove my "trollish" statement, even though I probably wasn't doing anything wrong.

LOL, yes. Not for profit. Just to shut up gamers.

Wait really? I always thought every mode was 16 player, 8 v 8, on the consoles. But i've only played it on pc with 25 v 25... and i always thought the maps were made for 8 v 8.

Well, Wii owners have been begging for Modern Warfare since it came out in 2007. World at War barely got to a million even though it's been out for almost a year, while the PS3/360 churned out a million like first week. You may not want to admit it, but with the case of Modern Warfare, Activision is overlooking the Wii, so this two year old port, not even handled by IW, but rather Treyarch (who have a history of making terribly inferior CODs, as compared to IW) seems to be more like a stfu than for profit.....even if profit is to be made

bmaker, Treyarch is not DOING mw, they are porting it. IW doesnt has the wii expertise to do it probably, nor the resources to do both at once. They havent done a Wii game either.Treyarch has. Again, Treyarch has the tech and the netcode. Now they are PORTING IWs product to wii.
And the critics have given the latest Treyarch game very high scores and had very good reception by players. You might disagree with the critics and the buyers but both are ...lets say more relevant to activisions interest.
