Well, we've seen the release of the first sequel to the best selling game of all time Wii Sports in Wii Sports Resort.  And in its first week it is the best selling game in the world worldwide (even though its numbers don't seem to be quite as high as first week sales for Halo 3, GTA IV, or Gears 2 for example).

So, how do you think Wii Sports Resort will sell in the coming weeks?  Personally, I think its sales will go on a decline and they won't really pick up again until Nintendo decides to include Wii Sports Resort instead of Wii Sports as the Wii's pack-in. 

Awesomely. Although I agree the sales will probably decline gradually over the next few weeks, but then see a big bump in the run up to the holidays. I agree that Nintendo should change their wii package to include this game.

Either way it's still going to sell many more millions over its shelf life.

In Japan, the game has shown notable legs so far, so I expect this game to stay in the top 20 for quite a while now.

It's gotta legs, and they know know to use them...

It will probably be in the top twenty games for the rest of the generation much like wii fit and mariokart.

I believe it'll be treading highly, much like Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit. I'd say 10 million LTD is the minimum cap for this game.

I have a feeling this game's gonna be another one to dominate the charts for a very long time.  Hell, my sister, who knows practically nothing about games, bought a Wii the other day and scooped this game up, because her boyfriend liked how it looked.  He's a decently-big gamer, but he doesn't check reviews or anything, he just buys what looks good in ads.  If THEY will buy this game without much prompting, it'll be selling for a long time.

And from what I playe, it eserves it!

Its showing signs of boosting every evergreen Nintendo game on DS and Wii so with this in mind i would assume it will sell about the same as MKW. Not as much as Wiifit but certainly better than Animal Crossing Wii and Wiimusic.

it's gonna be big, but we are gonna have to wait and see if it'll end up being as big as wii fit.
