If I weren't told that these pics were CGI, I would believe that most of them were real.

It's incredible how some designers recreate things from real life on a computer, creating what we may call simulated pictures. Sometimes, we can't even tell whether an image is real or a computer graphic, and that's freaking amazing.During a long visit to the CGSociety yesterday, I selected 30 amazing realistic 3D Computer Graphics that impressed me a lot for its rendering and textures, which turned this computer generated images into real pictures of another world. I really hope you enjoy these, and don't forget to visit each author's page by clicking the images. Cheers! ;) http://abduzeedo.com/amazing-realistic-3d-computer-graphics OH........MY........GOD!!!!! The ones I didn't remove clearly aren't real.
I was able to tell the ones that were full CGI. The ones that looked real had real photo images included. It still continues to look better though.
They're all exactly like real life photos except the hippo, the wolf and the President.

Some of those are really good, but this is the worst and least realistic one of the bunch. |
Yeah, how did he got the nerve to present such an unrealistic Pos... I mean, the bends and twists in sheets covering the bed didn't fool me not even for a minute.

All the impressive stuff like foilage and water is real life photos lol. |
Thats how it is done in movies. Transformers for example. The only CGI is the robots except for when they interact with the enviroment like destroying a building for example. Only then the scenery needs to be modeled and placed over video footage.
Don't forget the authors of these pieces of art are only one person. They don't have 300+ people working on it, it would take them forever to model everything.

@ Kantor
agreed.
But to be honest i dont get impressed by still images because they can be touched up.
What imresses me is when it is in video form.
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Your wrong. This one is clearly the most unrealistic excluding Obama.

The Author only created the front train (Green). Everything else is a real photo.
The only thing unrealstic about this photo is the specularity and reflection of the train. It is way to shiny and reflective making it look unrealstic. We have all seen trains like this, they are grubby and filthy and he did a good job adding some grub to the front of the train but on top of the dirt is some specularity. If he removed the shine so it rendered like the blue carrige this would of been one of the most realstic looking pictures.
