Yeah that sucks. They're using real life good quality photos as back-drops for their computer generated models.

All the impressive stuff like foilage and water is real life photos lol.

Thats how it is done in movies. Transformers for example. The only CGI is the robots except for when they interact with the enviroment like destroying a building for example. Only then the scenery needs to be modeled and placed over video footage.

Don't forget the authors of these pieces of art are only one person. They don't have 300+ people working on it, it would take them forever to model everything.
